Your choice for entertainment is the most crucial factor in planning a successful party.
There are several questions you need to get answered such as:
Q: How far in advance should I book my entertainment? Most professional entertainers book well in advance-we would suggest at least a year in advance.
Q: Experience level - What is the experience level of the Entertainer/Company? Have they done the event you are
booking i.e. Wedding, etc.. Do they have prepared introduction sheets? Do they let you make choices?
Or play what they like and not what you want? Will they treat your guests professional?
Q: Professional Business- Is the outfit a Professional Business or considered a hobby? This is crucial to the
success of your party. Ask what events do they do and how many a Year!! And how long have they been
around?
Q: References- Can your DJ provide references that confirm/verify a well run outfit. Catering Halls are a
good way of telling-they see plenty of entertainers.
Q: How much will it cost me? Disc jockeys vary with services offered i.e. sound/lights/giveaways/area
The biggest misconception in our business is to book on price alone. The phrase "you get what you pay for" applies in our line of business.
We suggest you analyze the facts; experience,professionalism, and quality then make a quality decision.
Q: Experience counts most in the entertainment business each year companies come & go Choose an
outfit with a track record.
Q: Equipment- Does your DJ have Professional equipment? Or is it someone "down the street" that is
using home stereo equipment which may not be reliable-there is a difference!!
Q: What if something happens to the equipment? Does the DJ have a backup plan?? Or a reserve
system?? Nothing is perfect and equipment does breakdown.... but will it be your party?
